"Sonhos" - 2022

Esta é uma das minhas séries mais pensadas até aqui, aquela em que houve a maior mudança em minha mente.

Eu trabalhei nela por cerca de 2 meses, pintando as vezes 3 quadros em uma semana, de aproximadamente 4 a 6 horas de duração.

Ao fim da série, eu tive um colapso, ainda como colateral daquele relacionamento.

As primeiras pinturas são magenta, como na série anterior, mas minha mente mudava.

Eu não sei por quanto tempo pintei estas primeiras, mas logo houve a mudança.

This is my most thoughtful series of works to date, the one where a great shift happened in my mind.

I worked on it for about 2 months, painting sometimes 3 canvases in a week, of about 4 to 6 hours of duration straight.

By the end I collapsed, still on collaterals of the relationship I had that year.

The first paintings are magenta, just like my previous series, but my mind was different.

I don't know for how long I painted these first, but there was soon a change.

Daqui houve uma grande diferença em abordagem, e eu entendi que poderia explorar os sonhos para sempre, porque eles acontecem toda noite, então era apenas uma questão de tomar notas pela manhã, esboçar ideias e ir ao trabalho.

Eu não me lembro como me alimentavaa nesta época, mas às vezes acordava de madrugada para começar a me preparar para as sessões.

Eu conseguia reconhecer fatos que não eram claros pra mim antes disso, e para mim minha mentalidade está estreitamente ligada ao que aprendi neste período.

Eu ainda me lembro de como esse período foi produtivo, mas também de como começou a pesar em certo momento.

From here on there was a huge shift in approach, and I understood I could explore my dreams thoroughly forever, because they happen every night, so was just a matter of taking notes in the morning, sketching out ideas and moving on to the work itself.

I don't remember how I ate back then, but I sometimes woke 5 or 4 in the morning to begin preparing for the sessions.

I was able to acklowledge facts that were never clear to me until then, and to me my mentallity is streightly linked to what I learned during this time.

I still remember how productive I was, but also how it weighted at some point.
